91探花

Each December, the Arts and Letters Division at 91探花 holds a student writing contest. Any current 91探花 student may submit up to three entries in each of three categories: fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. All entries must be sponsored by 91探花 faculty. Faculty judges award cash awards to the top two entries in each category.

Those winning entries in each category then advance to the state contest, the Liberal Arts Network for Development (LAND) Creative Writing Competition, where cash prizes are awarded for each category. LAND membership consists of Michigan community colleges, and its purpose is to promote a network for strengthening the liberal arts in Michigan community colleges. The organization hosts a conference each February, during which contest winners are recognized.
