NelNet Payment Plans

The 91探花 Student Accounts Office manages student billing and payments for college-related expenses. Students can view their account statements and balances through the Student Experience Portal each semester.

91探花 offers several ways to pay your student account balance, including online payments, in-person payments, and payments by mail. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, and credit card. Students may also use eligible financial aid awards, scholarships, third-party payments made on their behalf, and earned income to help cover college expenses.

Tuition Payment Plans

To help make college expenses more manageable, 91探花 offers tuition payment plans through Nelnet Business Solutions. Payment plans allow students to spread eligible education expenses over time rather than paying the full balance at once. Plans offer flexible payment options, no interest, and affordable enrollment fees.

Students are encouraged to review their account balance and payment deadlines through the Student Experience Portal and make arrangements to pay their balance by the applicable due date. Failure to meet payment obligations may result in additional fees or cancellation of course registration, in accordance with college policy.

Methods of Payment

Cash or Check

Cash payments may be made during regular business hours at the Student Accounts Office in the Besse Center or at the Student Services desk at the Iron Mountain Campus.

Please make checks payable to 91探花.

Payments may also be mailed to:

Bay de Noc Community College
Attn: Student Accounts Office
2001 North Lincoln Road
Escanaba, MI 49829

Please allow sufficient time for mail delivery to ensure your payment arrives by the applicable due date.

Credit Card

91探花 accepts most major credit cards with no additional processing fees. Credit card payments may be made in person or online through the Student Experience Portal or Finance Self Service.

Electronic Payment Plan

91探花 offers an electronic payment plan through Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS), allowing students and their families to spread eligible tuition, fees, and housing expenses over monthly installments. Applicable financial aid is deducted from the account balance when calculating the amount due through the plan.

Payments are automatically withdrawn from a designated checking account, savings account, or credit card according to the terms of the payment agreement.

Enrollment and Fees

Students must enroll online before the applicable tuition payment deadline. Enrollment applies to one semester only, so students must re-enroll each semester they wish to participate.

A nonrefundable enrollment fee of $30 per semester is due at the time of enrollment.

Payment Calculation

The amount of each installment is based on the student's remaining account balance after applicable financial aid is deducted, along with any required down payment. The down payment and number of remaining installments depend on when the student enrolls in the payment plan.

For example, a student with a $1,000 balance and $100 in applicable financial aid would have $900 remaining. If the required down payment were 25% ($225), the remaining balance of $675 would be divided into three installments of $225 each. Actual payment amounts and schedules will vary based on the enrollment date and payment plan terms.

Returned Payments

If an automatic bank withdrawal or credit card payment is returned, Nelnet Business Solutions will assess a $25 returned payment fee to the student's account. NBS will notify the student of the returned payment by mail or email.
